Community Involvement

Supporting our community

Wilson’s is committed to actively supporting a healthy and vibrant community – not only through sponsorships and charitable donations, but also by having our leadership team volunteer on various boards and committees.

Our support is wide and varied, from arts programs to sports and local charities. There is a tremendous amount of pride in these relationships and we encourage our staff and clients to also support these worthwhile organizations.

Over the past 5 years, Wilson’s has also made substantial contributions to important infrastructure projects aimed at continuing the growth and sustainability of our community. These projects include The Camosun College Trades & Innovation Complex, Race Rocks Ecological Reserve, Our Place Society Therapeutic Centre, and the Alex & Joe Campbell Centre for Health.

Going Green

Our Sustainability Report outlines some of our green initiative projects, sustainable business practices and community give back.

Buses are one of the greenest forms of transportation when comparing per passenger emissions. In fact, one of our 56 passenger highway coaches omit 76% less emissions into the air than those same 56 people traveling by car (based on 2 people per car).

However, our business is more than just our buses. We are committed to using sustainable business practices in all areas of our business such as our shop, wash rack and offices to ensure we are setting an example for our employees, customers, industry, and community.

We are very passionate about the communities in which we do business and want to see them thrive for future generations.

We feel that as leaders in our community and industry it is important to set an example and continue to find ways to implement sustainable practices whenever possible.
